The Museum of Estonian Architecture has been based since 1996 in the historic salt storage building of the Rotermann Quarter. Besides exhibition and working rooms, the building also holds most of the museum’s collections. On this discovery tour of the collections we take a closer look at the side of the museum that visitors do not usually get to see. The museum’s chief curator Sandra Mälk introduces the archive rooms both in the vaulted space of the basement and on the second floor. The Museum of Architecture has a distinguished collection of drawings and projects, the largest collection of architectural photography in Estonia and a rich collection of models, as well as furniture and art collections.
