An old limestone warehouse stood in the port area along Reidi tee; it has been restored and rebuilt anew. Today it houses the Tallinn Business Incubator, where start-ups and growing companies receive mentoring, develop their products and reach the market. Entrepreneurship programmes and events held here bring together entrepreneurs and experts. The two-storey building of roughly 1900 m² was completed in early 2026. Its architectural solution grew out of the winning entry of an ideas competition, whose keyword was the birch. It symbolises something genuine and vital that grows from its own roots, just as the old warehouse has become today’s seedbed for enterprise. Natural materials play an important role in the interior: limestone, brick, rammed earth and plywood. The limestone wall, originally slated for demolition, was restored, preserving the historic facade and giving the honesty of the materials a visible and tangible form. Old limestone meets a contemporary office environment where materials are allowed to speak in their natural language. As a visitor you can see how a carefully restored warehouse has become a meeting place for entrepreneurs testing their ideas and building their businesses.
